Same issue for me. Tried several different codecs and nothing changes the freezes. I never actually get a saved file either.

Settings inside Distance addon allow the user to change true/false values to add additional functionality to the addon. However, if these are changed an Ashita update push changes the settings back to the stock False value. Is there a way to prevent this and if not is there someplace I can download ...
