XiView Compatible with Ashita?
XiView Compatible with Ashita?
Does anyone know if XiView is usable with Ashita? Everything I read about it references Windower, but with the way it is installed by just overwriting certain folders/files in the ROM directory of the FFXI installation, I wouldn't think Ashita vs Windower would matter. Can someone correct me if I'm wrong? I can't seem to get it to work - I have icons set to Icon Type 2, and I've tried using compressed/uncompressed/high quality for fonts in FFXI Config without any success, so I figured I would check if it should work with Ashita before digging into it more. Thanks!

You are correct. I use XiView with Ashita but Ashita really doesnt matter for Dat Mods.

Figured out my issue, never know if someone could use the same info so I figured I would share it.
I had two installations of FFXI and realized that my FFXI config and registry settings were pointing to the other installation. The changes I was making weren't being picked up since it must've been looking at DATs from the other directory, as well as things like setting uncompressed fonts not changing for the client I was concerned about.
All working now, though!
